Global Issues in Context is a new electronic resource that offers global perspectives on issues of international importance and current world events and topics in the news related to these issues. Not a pro and con database, Global Issues in Context ties together a variety of sources to present a rich analysis of issues – social, political, military, economic, environmental, science related, health related, cultural – and headlines in world hot spots. It provides information seekers with a framework to better understand 21st-century issues and events while highlighting global connections and the interdependence of all nations.

Now you can find materials from Montgomery College and beyond, through your mobile phone. A new six month-long WorldCat.org mobile pilot provides a convenient way to find library items and libraries on the go. Download the WorldCat mobile application, at worldcat.org/m.
This pilot complements the recently released experimental WorldCat app for iPhone, available for download at www.apple.com/webapps/searchtools/worldcat.html.

Beginning January 26, 2009, the MC Library Catalog will have a new look!
New or improved features include:
- My Searches and My List: Save searches or individual items to your account for easy access later.
- Narrow your Search: Select a location or item type from the Results screen.
- Make a Request: Request an item from another campus library more easily than before!
- Link to a Page: Copy & paste a link to an electronic book (or another Catalog record) for immediate access.

The Greenwood Digital Collection offers hundreds of eBook titles covering a variety of subject areas from anthropology to education to history to psychology and much, much more.
You can browse this collection in the Greenwood interface by title, author, or subject or you can search the collection using the same fields.
