Library Co-Sponsors the next Anthenaeum Symposia - Thursday, November 14th @ 7pm.

WOMEN IN ISLAM - Why do some Muslim women wear the hijab? What are women’s roles and rights in society according to the Qur’an? Discover how Dr. Maria Dakake, a Princeton PhD in Near Eastern Studies and director of the Islamic Studies Program at George Mason University, answers these questions on Thursday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Globe Hall, High Tech Bldg., Germantown. 

Event hosted in conjunction with the MC Germantown Library, as part of the Bridging Cultures Muslim Journey grant awarded by the NEH in cooperation with the American Library Association. 


Certificates of attendance will be available for students.  Event satisfies the multi-cultural requirement for faculty and staff.
